Agentic Discovery Platform (ADP) systems are emerging as the next step in agentic scientific discovery, accelerating research across disciplines. Participating in the Agentic Discovery Hackathon you can collaborate directly with cutting-edge Agentic Discovery Platform (ADP) systems to enhance your own research. By joining, you’ll also help shape the future of AI-driven scientific discovery through your feedback and insights. About the Hackathon
A 2-day international hackathon hosted by HUN-REN HQ to develop AI solutions that shape the future of scientific discovery.
HUN-REN is hosting an international hackathon titled Disrupt Science by Agentic Discovery. Over two days, we will build agentic AI solutions to accelerate scientific discovery.
Participants will receive full access to the Agentic Discovery Platform (ADP), jointly developed by HUN-REN and Óbuda University, which integrates multiple AI tools to support research prototyping.
What You’ll Do
- Accelerate domain research using Agentic Discovery Platform (ADP) systems that integrate multiple research AI tools on one platform to collaboratively investigate, research, and develop
- Deliver a 5-minute final presentation at the end of Day 2
- Use only open or synthetic data under a strict “no secrets” security policy
Evaluation Criteria
- Scientific relevance
- Creativity in AI tool use
- Novelty and applicability
- Quality of teamwork
Agentic Discovery Platform (ADP) Tools
No mandatory tool usage – we provide access to ADP, where the following tools are available. Feel free to use any of them, but you’re also welcome to use other tools you have access to. We also provide OpenAI credits for participants. STORM Research Agent
An intelligent agent that generates comprehensive, Wikipedia-style articles on any topic using advanced research and AI. Typical uses include writing articles on AI, renewable energy, or space exploration. Dataverse Research Agent
An online demo session of the Agentic Discovery Platform (ADP) will be held on January 14, 2026 at 16:00 (CET) for all participants who would like to get familiar with the system before the hackathon.
